Edwards Vacuum in Buffalo, NY, is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer to provide expert technical support for our semiconductor vacuum pump portfolio, resolve product issues, and serve as a performance and failure analysis authority with global customers and service centers.

You will drive product improvements, obsolescence resolutions, and technical innovation in collaboration with cross‑functional teams across R&D, Operations, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering, ensuring timely

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, or related Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience in technical support, product engineering, failure analysis, or related fields.
• Experience using structured investigation and corrective action methods to resolve issues.
• Experience collaborating with R&D, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, service centers, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex product, application, quality, and safety issues for customers and operations to minimize business disruption.
• Establish product performance and failure analysis conclusions for root cause identification and data‑driven recommendations.
• Provide authoritative technical support for Edwards Vacuum pump products to customers, service centers, and internal teams.
• Lead and support product improvements and obsolescence resolution for reliability and serviceability.
• Deliver technical investigations and support commitments on timelines, quality, and cost objectives.
• Produce complete technical documentation and test evidence that meet industry standards.
• Strengthen cross‑functional capability by sharing expertise and collaborating across R&D, Operations, Quality, and service teams.
