Service Responsibilities
  • Proactively maintain customer relationships and act as a primary feedback loop into service sales and technical support groups to capture all opportunities.
  • Perform planned customer visits to inspect and service industrial vacuum pumps and associated equipment, including routine maintenance and ad‑hoc visits to prevent breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot and repair on‑site, diagnosing issues accurately and performing necessary repairs directly at the customer’s location to minimize downtime.
  • Undertake installation and commissioning of vacuum technology products in line with global standards, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols while working at customer sites, conducting last‑minute risk assessments and using prescribed personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of on‑site maintenance activities, repairs, and any issues encountered, providing comprehensive reports to clients and management.
  • Identify potential problems during site visits before they escalated and offer preventive maintenance solutions to avoid future disruptions.
Sales Responsibilities
  • Proactively generate leads for the sales team while on‑site.
Learning Responsibilities
  • Provide training to colleagues and customers, sharing lessons learned to enhance knowledge exchange and foster a strong network.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in vacuum technology and continuously improve technical skills to provide the best possible service during field visits.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to find optimal solutions for customer‑specific situations, ensuring the best advice and support are provided.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Goal is to become an expert on vacuum pump systems, with comprehensive understanding of various types of vacuum pumps (e.g., rotary vane, scroll, turbomolecular) and their operational principles.
  • General entry level: 2–4 years of experience in a similar role, general understanding of mechanical processes, and knowledge of how tools/products operate and their governing principles.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software to identify and troubleshoot issues within vacuum systems.
  • Strong foundation in electrical and mechanical engineering principles to repair components such as motors, seals, and control systems, enabling routine and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Able to legally work in the U.S.
  • Valid driver’s license.
