Edwards Vacuum in Buffalo, NY seeks a Senior Technical Support Engineer to provide expert technical support for its semiconductor vacuum pump portfolio. You will resolve complex issues, perform root-cause analyses, and drive product improvements in collaboration with global teams.

The role requires a mechanical, materials, or electrical engineering background with at least 5 years in technical support or related fields.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, or related engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience in technical support or related fields.
Experience resolving product and customer issues using structured investigation and corrective action methods.
Experience working with cross-functional teams (R&D, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, service centers, and customers).

Responsibilities

Resolve complex product, application, quality, and safety issues for customers and operations to minimize business disruption.
Establish product performance and failure analysis conclusions with data-driven recommendations.
Provide authoritative technical support for Edwards Vacuum pump products.
Lead product improvement and obsolescence resolution outcomes.
Deliver technical investigations and support commitments on timelines, quality expectations, and cost objectives.
Produce complete technical documentation, test evidence, and communication outputs.
Strengthen cross-functional technical capability and continuous improvement.
