Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Vaccine Account Representative (VAR) to engage pharmacies, medical groups, and physician offices, aligning vaccines and services with population health goals.

You will work with the Vaccine Account Team to implement strategies and ensure value-based health outcomes. The role reports to the Customer Team Leader within National Retail Pharmacy Sales and collaborates with Vaccine Field Sales and Vaccines Pharmacy Account Executive teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3 (36 months) or more years Sales pharma experience or Minimum of high school diploma with at least 6 years of equivalent experience which could include professional sales, experience in marketing, military or healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related (pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical devices).
• Valid Driver's license.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand multiple interdependencies within an account and maximize account performance through collaborative business planning.
• Maintain knowledge of contract terms and optimize vaccine purchases and inventory.
• Establish and track account performance metrics and adjust plans.
• Apply knowledge of vaccines, competitive brands, and immunization protocols to support care standards.
• Manage customer supply, product transitions, and back-order challenges.
