Job summary

Gatik is seeking a Senior V&V Engineer for SIL & Simulation to advance its autonomous middle-mile platform. Onsite at our Santa Clara, CA office, you will design automated SIL pipelines, validate the autonomy stack, and drive simulation fidelity and release dashboards.

You will contribute to cloud-based workflows (AWS/GCP), leverage Docker/Kubernetes, and apply edge-case log replay techniques to ensure safe, production-grade driverless releases.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or Data Science.
• 5+ years in software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing, virtual simulation validation, or automated QA for AVs or robotics.
• Exceptional proficiency in C++ and Python; strong Linux and CI/CD experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale automated SIL testing pipelines integrated into cloud-based CI/CD workflows for daily regression and release gate evaluation.
• Build automated workflows to extract disengagements or interesting events from fleet logs and transform them into parametric simulation suites.
• Validate autonomy stack performance across perception, planning, controls, and map execution against safety metrics and behavioral assertions.
• Develop automated verification dashboards (Grafana, SQL, Python) tracking pass/fail rates, safety violations, and coverage across thousands of daily simulations.
