Job summary

Gatik is seeking a Staff V&V Systems Lead to architect and govern verification and validation across SIL, HIL, track, and public road pillars. You will own the VTM, drive release sign-off decisions, and synthesize testing evidence to support safety cases.

Based in Santa Clara, CA, this onsite role requires 8+ years in safety-critical systems, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with ISO 26262, UL 4600, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading systems verification and validation programs for safety-critical autonomous systems, aerospace, or automotive platforms.
• Mastery of the system V-model development lifecycle and safety standards (ISO 26262, UL 4600, ISO 21448).
• Experience in release gate sign-offs for safety-critical commercial products.

Responsibilities

• Architect and govern the multi-pillar validation methodology (SIL -> HIL -> Track -> Public Road).
• Own the empirical evidence layer of the safety case (UL 4600 / ISO 26262).
• Build and enforce end-to-end traceability between safety requirements, mitigations, tests, and results (Jama/Jira).
• Sign-off authority for software and fleet updates bound for driverless operations.
• Align testing strategies across Simulation, HIL Bench, Track, and Field Deployment teams to cover edge cases.
• Prepare audit-ready V&V summaries for internal safety boards and third-party auditors.
