Gatik, the leader in autonomous middle-mile logistics, seeks a Robotics Integration and Testing Engineer to join its Santa Clara team. You will integrate, validate, and test autonomous systems, ensuring safe, reliable performance across challenging environments, supporting fleet scaling and deployment.

This onsite role at the Santa Clara, CA office involves leading integration, developing test plans, and conducting both in-lab and on-road tests to ensure robust system performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in testing, validation, and integration of autonomous or robotic systems, preferably in AV/transportation.
• Strong proficiency in ROS/ROS2, C++, and Python with understanding of perception, sensor fusion, and navigation.
• Familiarity with Gazebo/Carla and HIL testing techniques.
• Hands-on experience with sensors (Lidar, radar, cameras, IMUs) including calibration and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of software and hardware components within the autonomous driving system.
• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, cases, and procedures for validating system-level functionality (perception, navigation, control).
• Conduct in-lab and on-road testing for complex robotic systems with diverse scenarios.
• Use simulation environments to create reproducible test scenarios for rapid validation of updates.
• Troubleshoot sensor integration and data processing issues; collaborate with software/hardware teams.
