Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. seeks an experienced Line Clearance Climbing Trimmer to support Medina and Lorain County, Ohio, for Lorain-Medina Rural Electric. This on-site, full-time role involves outdoor work clearing vegetation around utility lines.

You will climb with DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems, prune and remove trees, and coordinate with the ground crew and foreman. CDL and line clearance experience preferred; excellent safety practices required.

Qualifications

• Must complete the Davey Tree Orientation Program upon hire.
• Must complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving courses.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• CDL Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement preferred.
• Line clearance experience or related tree work preferred.
• Pesticide licenses/certificates may be required by state law.
• ISA Arborist/Tree Worker/TCIA Tree Care Safety credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Perform pruning and removal services for major electric utilities safely.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged limbs from lines and structures.
• Maintain and operate chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and other tools.
• Collaborate with ground crew and foreperson as an active team member.
• Grow in responsibility; advancement depends on performance.
