Davey Tree Surgery Co. seeks an experienced Line Clearance Trimmer to join our Kinsman, OH team. This on-site role favors CDL holders or climbing experience, with a strong emphasis on safe, skilled pruning for utility clients.

You will operate climbing systems, trim and remove branches, and coordinate with ground crews for efficient job completion while maintaining equipment and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Complete Davey Tree Orientation Program upon hire.
• Complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CDL Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement preferred.
• Line clearance experience or related tree work preferred.
• Pesticide licenses/certificates as state law requires (if applicable).
• ISA/TCIA certifications (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Perform tree pruning and removal safely for major electric utilities.
• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and pruning guidelines.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Work as part of a crew with ground crew and foreperson.
