Job summary

Exelon is seeking a field/engineering professional to design and document large utility projects, including transmission and distribution infrastructure. The role involves creating construction drawings, BOMs, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to meet customer needs.

Qualified candidates will have a technical degree, CAD proficiency, and strong problem-solving abilities, with readiness to support extended hours during storms or emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 3+ years of technical experience, or an associate's degree with 5+ years of experience, or 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient computer drawing and CAD skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs, layouts, construction drawings, and BOM for large projects and complex utility systems.
• Coordinate with teams for installation/removal/modification of infrastructure.
• Interpret and apply engineering standards and memos.
• Assist with technical consultation, plan developments and recommendations for customer systems.
• Provide technical assistance to design technicians and support project financials.
