Job summary

Exelon is seeking a design engineer to develop designs, layouts, and construction drawings for large utility projects across transmission, distribution, gas, and telecom facilities. You will create BOMs, coordinate with teams, and ensure adherence to engineering standards.

The role may require extended hours during storms or energy delivery emergencies. Minimum qualifications include a technical degree with several years of experience and proficiency in CAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 3+ years of experience, or an associate's with 5+ years, or 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Tech Occupations Selection Systems (TECH) test completion required (bachelor's degree exempt).
• Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops designs, layouts, construction drawings, and BOMs for large utility projects and complex systems.
• Interprets and applies engineering standards and memos.
• Provide technical consultation and plan developments for customer and company systems.
