Job summary

Exelon is a Fortune 200 energy company seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop designs and construction drawings for large utility projects. This role supports internal and external customers and may require extended hours, including 24x7 coverage during storms.

Requires a technical degree with 3+ years of experience (or equivalent), CAD proficiency, and strong analytical skills. Travel and field work may be involved alongside collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 3+ years of technical experience, or an Associate's with 5+ years, or 7+ years if non-degreed.
• TECH test completion required (bachelor's in engineering exempts).
• Ability to analyze electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Develops designs, layouts, construction drawings, and BOMs for large projects and complex utility infrastructure.
• Interprets and applies engineering standards and memos.
• Assist with technical consultation and plan developments for customer and company systems.
• Evaluate design processes and participate on teams for high voltage projects.
