Job summary

Exelon is seeking an engineer to develop designs and construction drawings for large utility projects across electric, gas and telecom facilities. You will create BOMs, coordinate with customers and internal teams, and apply engineering standards, with potential extended hours during storms.

The role requires a technical degree with several years of experience, strong CAD skills, and the ability to work under tight schedules while ensuring safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or higher with 3+ years of technical experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency with design and CAD tools and standards.
• Successful completion of the TECH test (Bachelor's degree exempts this).

Responsibilities

• Develop designs, layouts, construction drawings, and a bill of material for large projects and complex systems.
• Interpret and apply engineering standards and memos for internal and external customers.
• Coordinate, track and monitor electrical requirements for projects, including 24x7 storm coverage.
• Support engineering design teams with plan developments and customer and company processes.
