Job summary

Exelon is seeking an engineer to develop designs, construction drawings, and materials for complex utility infrastructure projects across generation, transmission, and distribution systems. The role includes field engineering, coordinating New Business activities, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards.

Applicants should have a technical degree with CAD proficiency, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work extended hours, including during storms or energy delivery emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field; TECH test completion required or exempted with engineering degree.
• Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
• Proficient CAD skills (AutoCAD) and related drawing tools.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs, layouts, construction drawings, and bill of materials for complex utility infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate coordination of New Business installations, removals and relocations; support customer contacts and scheduling.
• Interpret and apply engineering standards and memos; support with technical consultations and plan developments.
• Evaluate design processes and participate in teams to design high voltage transmission and distribution circuits.
