Job summary

MGX Equipment Services seeks a Payroll Manager to lead all US payroll operations for its US entities, serving about 1,600 employees via ADP. The role supervises the payroll team and ensures accurate, timely payroll, tax, and 401(k) processing across multiple facilities in the US.

The position requires 10+ years of multi-state payroll experience, ADP expertise, and strong leadership. Collaboration with HR and corporate teams is essential, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and process

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Experience with ADP processes and systems
• 10+ years of experience with multi-state and multi-business entity payroll
• Ability to manage Payroll staff, delegate duties, train and mentor as needed
• Proven high-level experience to resolve complex issues on demand
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, Adobe, & Outlook
• Demonstrate skills to solve problems, influence people and communicate effectively
• Ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment with competing priorities
• Ability to create and document processes improvements or new processes
• Experience with acquisitions and project management
• Experience with 401K special calculations, file interfaces, reconciliations with vendor (Fidelity)
• Ability to create/design custom reports as requested by internal/external personnel
• Maintaining confidentiality of all company data, internally and externally
• CPP highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervises and processes payroll for all US entities and pays groups.
• Reviews data entry by payroll staff for accuracy and timeliness; approves ADP tax payments and deposits.
• Manages 401K funding and annual bonus processes; coordinates with Fidelity.
• Liaises with HR and corporate teams to ensure accurate payments and reporting.
• Maintains audits with internal/external auditors and prepares year-end processes.
