Job summary

The Manitowoc Company is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead all US payroll operations for US legal entities, serving approximately 1,600 employees via ADP. The role oversees payroll, tax, and 401(k) processing, and requires leadership of the payroll team across multiple locations.

The position may be located at any US facility, with responsibilities including audits, quarterly filings, and coordination with HR and Fidelity for 401(k) funding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Experience with ADP processes and systems.
• 10+ years of experience with multi-state and multi-business entity payroll.
• CPP highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and processes payroll for all US entities, pension, and board of directors; reviews data entry and ADP invoices; ensures accuracy in payroll, tax, and 401(k) processing.
• Processes variable compensation, sales commissions, union dues, equity compensation, and expatriates payroll; coordinates with HR for timely payments.
• Leads payroll audits with internal/external auditors; handles year-end processing including W2s and related reconciliations; maintains payroll calendar for all locations.
• Acts as lead liaison with ADP, tracks service requests, and coordinates with state tax agencies; collaborates with Corporate Tax/Accounting/Treasury for ad hoc reporting.
