Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Senior Underwriting Consultant to evaluate high-impact applications, guiding junior colleagues and maintaining underwriting standards. This remote role is open to any location in the continental US.

You will audit and review underwriting decisions, provide training, manage complex cases, and collaborate with the team to meet deadlines while upholding policies and client service.

Qualifications

• Must have college degree or equivalent.
• Prefer 7+ years of underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting functions and John Hancock products.
• Ability to prioritize and work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Identify and propose solutions to workflow issues.
• Audit underwriting decisions and ensure guideline compliance.
• Provide training to junior underwriters.
• Manage complex underwriting cases and appeals.
• Review fraud referrals and conduct book-of-business reviews.
