Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Risk Management; graduate degree preferred.
• Typically five or more years of professional underwriting experience in P&C.
• Strong knowledge of professional, financial, and/or specialty lines underwriting principles.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite highly complex risks for acceptance, pricing, and terms.
• Develop and implement underwriting guidelines, rates, and forms for programs.
• Collaborate with claims, actuary, compliance, and marketing to achieve program goals.
• Lead training and mentorship for underwriting staff and program managers.
• Engage with reinsurers and brokers to structure and manage reinsurance programs.
