Job summary

SCI Summit Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced underwriter to evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business with a strong emphasis on risk assessment and pricing. This remote role supports agents, brokers, and clients across multiple states, aligning with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.

The candidate will develop risk models, analyze reports, and communicate strategies to internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management and Insurance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 13 years underwriting experience or related field.
• Professional designations (AU, CPCU, CIC, INS, ARM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation and underwriting of new and renewal business per guidelines and risk appetite.
• Develop advanced risk assessment models for coverage, pricing, and terms.
• Foster partnerships with actuaries, agents, brokers, and clients for information and guidance.
• Procure and analyze motor vehicle, loss history, and external inspections for underwriting support.
• Ensure documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
