Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Account Executive Officer in Commercial Accounts to partner with agents and brokers, providing property, liability, auto, and workers' compensation coverage for new and renewal business. You will assess complex risk, develop sales plans, and travel to meet clients as needed.

Ideal candidates have 6–8 years in underwriting, deep knowledge of commercial lines, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a CPCU designation or equivalent expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience with commercial lines.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lines products and local market.
• Excellent communication and negotiation with agents/brokers.
• CPCU designation.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal partners to develop sales plans.
• Meet agents and brokers regularly to market Travelers products and grow accounts.
• Travel to meetings as required and assist in agency sales planning.
