Job summary

Travelers in Colorado is hiring for an Account Executive Officer (AEO) Select within the Select Accounts team. This role involves partnering with agents to provide property, general liability, commercial auto, workers' compensation, and umbrella coverage for new business based on customers' needs.

Ideal candidates have 6–8 years of underwriting experience in commercial lines, deep product knowledge, and strong negotiation and communication skills. A CPCU designation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience in commercial lines.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lines products.
• Strong analytical thinking and decision-making in risk/financial scenarios.
• Excellent negotiation and communication with agents/brokers.
• CPCU designation preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth and retention of a book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex property and casualty accounts.
• Ensure underwriting quality and profitability through risk analysis and quoting.
• Build relationships with internal partners and external agents to drive sales.
• Travel to meetings with agents/brokers as needed.
• Assist in training less-experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
