Job summary

Argo Group in New York is seeking a production underwriter to market, underwrite, and process assigned lines of business, including mentoring staff.

This on-site role requires five+ years underwriting experience, a bachelor’s degree, strong broker relationships, and proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and Word; travel up to 20% is expected.

Base pay NYC range $113,000-$165,000 plus annual bonus and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years underwriting experience with authority.
• Strong broker relationships in the Central U.S., marketplace.
• Advanced Excel/Outlook/Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze new business and renewal submissions for assigned area.
• Ensure marketing initiatives are achieved and communicate products to brokers.
• Develop and maintain broker relationships and establish new ones in targeted territories.
• Attend client and broker meetings and participate in special projects.
