Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an experienced Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You will diagnose, repair, and service engines, transmissions, differentials, and fuel systems while maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

You will mentor newer technicians, utilize Penske’s advanced tools, and participate in ongoing training to grow your career within a supportive, safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials) and ASE/608/609 certifications preferred
• Experienced using tools of the trade (diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools)

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
• Perform preventive maintenance services on trucks and trailers with minimal supervision
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and fuel systems
• Keep work area clean and safe
• Use Penske tools/technologies to log, research and complete repairs including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor
