Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a motivated Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, ensuring vehicles stay on the road and meet safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Problem solving skills and comfort with using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills for logging and diagnostics.
• Must comply with Penske safety policies and DOT/OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and component lubrication, tires, some electrical and cooling system work on gas/diesel engines.
• Collaborate with manager to learn new skills through Penske training and hands-on coaching.
• Handle other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
