Job summary

Stantec is seeking a transportation Structural Engineer with at least 10 years of experience in the design of bridges for highways, transit and rail, in California. You will assist senior engineers with analysis, designs, drawings and specifications for infrastructure projects across multiple CA locations including Walnut Creek and San Francisco.

Full-time role with possible part-time consideration, emphasizing attention to detail, leadership, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; master's preferred.
• 10 years' experience in structural design for bridges and infrastructure with CalTrans experience.
• Experience with Caltrans standards and high-speed rail projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and details for transportation projects.
• Design new structures and rehabilitation of existing structures.
• Review shop drawings and calculations; coordinate with design team; site visits for conditions.
• Assist with client coordination and meetings; manage RFIs and submittals.
