Job summary

Stantec is seeking a transportation Structural Engineer in California with a minimum of 10 years of design experience on bridges, highways, transit, and rail structures. The role includes assisting senior engineers in creating designs, drawings, and specs for infrastructure projects.

California PE licensure and familiarity with Caltrans standards are required. Possible locations include Roseville, Fresno, San Francisco, Walnut Creek, and Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Engineer in California required.
• Proficient in steel, masonry, timber and concrete design; strong bridge design experience.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software SAP 2000, CSI Bridge, Midas or similar.
• Experience with Caltrans standards and bridge design calculations.
• Experience on California High Speed Rail projects preferred; attention to detail and leadership skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of structural engineering for transportation structures.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and details for projects.
• Design new structures and rehabilitation of existing structures.
• Review shop drawings and calculations; coordinate with team; site visits as needed.
• Coordinate with clients and manage submittals, meetings, and RFIs.
