Job summary

Stantec seeks a transportation Structural Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of highway, transit, and rail bridges. California PE required; experience with inspection/rehabilitation is a plus. Possible locations in California include Roseville, Fresno, San Francisco, Walnut Creek, and Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in structural design for bridges & infrastructure with CalTrans experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer in California.
• Experience with design of new transportation structures (highway, transit, rail).
• Experience with inspection & rehabilitation is a plus.
• High speed rail experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, Caltrans, AREMA, CBC standards.

Responsibilities

• Uses knowledge of structural engineering for transportation structures.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and details for transportation projects.
• Design new structures and rehabilitation of existing structures.
• Review shop drawings and calculations; coordinate with design team; site visits; address site issues.
• Assist with client coordination including deliveries, submittals, meetings, and comments.
• Collaborate with other structural staff to complete projects.
