Job summary

Stantec is seeking a transportation Structural Engineer in California with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in designing highway, transit and rail bridges. The role involves assisting senior engineers with analysis, designs, and contract drawings for infrastructure projects in California locations including Roseville, Fresno, San Francisco, Walnut Creek, or Los Angeles.

The candidate should be a California-registered Professional Engineer with expertise in steel, masonry, timber and concrete,

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Engineer in the State of California.
• Proficient in steel, masonry, timber and concrete design.
• Proficiency in Structural Analysis with SAP 2000, CSI Bridge, MIDAS.
• Strong background in bridge design calculations and plans per Caltrans standards.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, Caltrans, AREMA, CBC standards.
• High speed rail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use knowledge of structural engineering for transportation structures.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and details for projects.
• Design new structures and rehab of existing structures.
• Review shop drawings and calculations; coordinate with design team; site visits to address issues.
• Assist with client coordination and project deliverables.
