Job summary

Stantec is seeking a transportation Structural Engineer with 10+ years of experience to work on bridge and transportation infrastructure projects in California. The role involves designing new structures, rehabilitation of existing ones, and preparing calculations and drawings in accordance with Caltrans standards.

Located in California with potential locations including Fresno, Roseville, San Francisco, Walnut Creek, and Los Angeles, this full-time position may consider part-time.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in structural design for bridges and infrastructure with CalTrans experience.
• Experience with design of transportation structures including highway, transit, and rail bridges.
• Thorough understanding of design codes and agency standards such as AASHTO, Caltrans, AREMA, CBC.

Responsibilities

• Perform design calculations, drawings, and details for transportation projects.
• Design of new structures and rehabilitation of existing ones.
• Review shop drawings and calculations; coordinate with design team; address site issues.
• Assist with client coordination including deliveries, submittals, meetings, and comments.
