Job summary

Stantec is seeking a transportation Structural Engineer with 10+ years of experience in design of highway, transit and rail bridges. Possible California locations include Roseville, Fresno, San Francisco, Walnut Creek, and Los Angeles.

This full-time role may be available part-time as well. The candidate will assist senior engineers in performing analyses, developing designs, contract drawings, and specifications for various infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Engineer in California.
• Proficient in steel, masonry, timber and concrete design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP 2000, CSI Bridge, MIDAS).
• Strong background in bridge design calculations and Caltrans standards.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, Caltrans, AREMA, CBC standards.
• High speed rail experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and details for transportation projects.
• Design new structures and rehabilitation of existing structures.
• Review shop drawings and calculations; coordinate with design team; site visits; respond to RFIs; oversee testing.
• Assist with client coordination including deliveries, submittals, meetings, review comments; clients include public and private.
• Work with other structural staff and departments to complete projects.
