Job summary

BKF Engineers is seeking a senior construction manager to act as Owner’s representative on bridge, roadway, and civil construction projects. You will ensure compliance with contract documents and QA/QC standards while guiding project teams across offices.

Ideal candidates hold a California PE, bring 7+ years of road/bridge contract management and strong leadership. Travel to client sites and BKF locations may be required; a competitive compensation package is offered.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• California registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
• 7+ years construction contract management experience on roadway/bridge projects.
• Knowledge of CALTRANS/local agency projects desirable.
• Ability to manage people effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Owner’s representative on bridge, roadway and civil construction projects.
• Ensure projects are built in accordance with contract documents and QA/QC procedures.
• Manage professional and technical staff and contract administration.
• Review change orders, shop drawings, materials testing and surveying.
• Conduct progress meetings and coordinate utility activities.
