Job summary

BKF Engineers seeks an experienced construction professional to act as the Owner’s representative on bridge, roadway and civil projects. You will manage project teams, ensure contract conformance and coordinate with inspectors and client agencies.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, a California PE, and 7+ years in roadway/bridge construction management. Travel to BKF locations and client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering and California P.E. required.
• 7+ years construction contract management in roadway/bridge projects.
• Working knowledge of CALTRANS/local agency projects and document coordination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Owner’s representative on bridge, roadway and civil projects.
• Ensure projects are built per contract documents and standards.
• Lead project team, manage staff, and oversee contract administration.
• Review change orders, shop drawings, testing, and surveying activities.
• Conduct progress meetings and coordinate with clients and agencies.
• Prepare documentation for conformity, quality assurance and payments.
