Job summary

Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Transportation Project Manager in O'Fallon, IL. This role requires 10+ years of experience and involves managing project teams, developing engineering solutions, and delivering a thorough end product to clients.

You will coordinate with the Illinois DOT and local municipalities, manage schedules and budgets, and help develop new business in the Illinois region. A PE license in Illinois and experience with CAD and highway design tools are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed professional engineer in Illinois.
• Interact and communicate with clients, vendors and staff of all levels.
• Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs.
• Track multiple projects simultaneously to keep jobs on schedule and under budget.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Products (e. g. Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience using at least one CADD platform (MicroStation or AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of at least one highway design package (e. g. OpenRoads, Geopak, or Civil3D).
• Critical thinking and analysis.
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations.
• Prepare and write engineering and other reports.
• Coordinate and write responses to project solicitations.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
• Develop business in the Illinois region.
• Field visits on rough terrain per project needs.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive to and from job sites.
• Other duties as assigned.
