Job summary

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. seeks a full-time Transportation Project Manager in Illinois with 10+ years of experience to lead project teams and deliver comprehensive engineering solutions.

The role includes client interaction, relationship development, and tracking of potential projects. Requires licensure as a professional engineer in Illinois and ability to drive to job sites. Salary range $95,000–$145,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed professional engineer in Illinois.
• Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs.
• Track multiple projects to keep jobs on schedule and under budget.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience using at least one CADD platform (MicroStation or AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of at least one highway design package (OpenRoads, Geopak, or Civil3D).
• Critical thinking and analysis.
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations.
• Prepare and write engineering and other reports.
• Coordinate and write responses to project solicitations.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
• Develop business in the Illinois region.
• Field visits on rough terrain per project needs.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive to and from job sites.
