Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Senior Transportation Project Engineer for a hybrid role in our Quincy or Woburn, MA office. You will supervise complex roadway design work, coordinate multiple disciplines, and deliver plans and cost estimates per MassDOT standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure within one year.
• 5+ years of roadway design experience.
• Strong writing skills for memoranda and reports.
• AutoCAD experience required.
• Knowledge of MassDOT plan set requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Lead for transportation components on complex projects.
• Coordinate among design disciplines and subconsultants.
• Lead 3D roadway design models with AutoCAD Civil3D per MassDOT standards.
• Prepare plan sets, provisions, and cost estimates for roadway projects.
• Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
