Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to lead traffic/transportation engineering projects across the Northeast. You will supervise studies, manage budgets, mentor staff, and coordinate with clients and public agencies to deliver high-quality solutions.

The role rewards performance with annual bonus opportunities. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 may be available, with opportunities to advance within a 2,000+ employee national firm offering diverse projects and strong mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering.
• Knowledge of traffic study and design standards, including MassDOT submission processes.
• Expertise in traffic modeling (Synchro) and traffic signal design.
• PTOE certification a plus.
• Professional Engineering License in Massachusetts or reciprocity within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the preparation of studies, design and construction bid documents for traffic-related transportation projects.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and expertise in traffic analysis models and signal design.
• Maintain oversight of project financials, schedules, and progress.
• Present effectively at meetings with clients and the public.
• Manage/mentor staff, workloads, and issue resolution.
• Prepare project scopes and budgets for proposals and contracts.
• Maintain client communication with municipalities and regional agencies.
• Build and maintain client relationships to generate opportunities.
