Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a Project Manager in our Northeast Division to lead traffic/transportation engineering projects and mentor a team, while maintaining budgets and schedules. The role involves coordinating with municipalities, preparing proposals, and presenting project details to clients.

Qualified candidates will have a Civil/Transportation Engineering degree, 8+ years in the field, MassDOT familiarity, and a MA PE license or ability to obtain it within a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/transportation engineering required.
• 8+ years in traffic/transportation engineering with project management.
• MassDOT standards knowledge and traffic modeling experience required.
• Massachusetts PE license or ability to obtain within a year.

Responsibilities

• Lead studies, design, and construction bid documents for traffic projects.
• Provide technical direction on traffic modeling, signals, and signage design.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and project progress.
• Present to clients and the public.
• Mentor staff and manage workloads and issues.
• Prepare scopes and budgets for proposals and contracts.
• Maintain client communications with municipalities and agencies.
• Develop and grow client relationships for new projects.
