Job summary

HNTB is seeking a senior transportation/traffic engineer in Dallas to lead complex projects, supervise design calculations and reports, and mentor junior staff. You will collaborate with project managers, prepare ITS and traffic plans, and help grow client relationships.

The role requires a deep background in traffic modeling, design standards, and cross-disciplinary coordination to ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery. A PE/AICP may be preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 7+ years or PhD with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to lead discipline delivery on complex projects and mentor staff.
• Experience developing traffic analysis models and ITS design plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead broad-spectrum engineering solutions and ensure schedule and budget adherence.
• Coordinate with clients and teaming partners on complex multi-discipline projects.
• Assist in proposal generation and scope definition.
• Develop scope of work and level of effort for projects and manage adherence to scope.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.
