Job summary

HNTB seeks a Roadway Engineer III in North Texas to advance the design, calculations, reports and plans for complex roadway projects. You will collaborate with project managers and senior designers to ensure timely, quality deliverables across TxDOT, DART, NTTA and airports in the Dallas–Fort Worth region.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, plan development, and coordination with multiple disciplines, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and contribute to project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
• Assist in development of project specifications.
• Develop discipline-specific engineering elements, reports, designs and plans.
• Coordinate and support project team members; provide guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Work with multiple disciplines on multi-discipline projects; perform QA reviews.
