Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead traffic analytics and ITS design for major infrastructure projects. You will develop models, conduct safety analyses, and produce plans with MS Office and specialized software, collaborating with project managers and clients to meet schedules and budgets.

The role requires advanced engineering degrees or extensive experience, mentoring juniors, and coordinating multi-discipline teams to deliver high-quality solutions across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 7 years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Uses senior-level technical expertise to consider a broad range of engineering solutions.
• Responsible for discipline-specific planning, work distribution, leadership, and schedule/budget adherence on complex projects.
• Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Develops scope of work and level of effort and manages adherence to scope and budget on complex projects.
• Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team’s work within the technical discipline.
• Provides technical guidance and mentoring to team members to achieve project objectives.
• Coordinates technical aspects with client and teaming partners for work within the discipline.
• Leads discipline delivery on larger, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Plans schedules, hours, and distribution of work for other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
