Job summary

HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager for its Transportation Leadership team. You will lead large, multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with technical complexity and strong governance, delivering value for clients and communities.

Ideal candidates hold a PE or PMP, 10+ years of program management, and a track record of delivering multiple programs valued at $500M+. You’ll mentor teams, manage risks, and collaborate across disciplines while advancing HDR’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP/CMAA/PMI cert.
• Minimum 10 years of program management experience with 4+ years as a Senior PM.
• Experience leading three or more programs each valued at $500M+.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community facets.
• Plan, direct, and monitor all program aspects including cost control and scheduling.
• Provide risk management and problem-solving for program challenges.
• Mentor teams and promote transparency and accountability.
