Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Sr. Manager, Transportation in Florida to lead a safety‑driven transportation culture and ensure accurate, timely outbound shipments to customers and distribution centers.

You will supervise managers and drivers, coach for performance, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations while maintaining cost efficiency. The role requires at least five years in transportation supervision, strong leadership, and the ability to analyze data.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in transportation/delivery supervision.
• Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Achieve safety, service, and cost targets in Transportation.
• Oversee and develop Transportation Managers through coaching and training.
• Oversee and develop drivers and transportation personnel; address performance gaps.
• Monitor staffing and undertake hiring and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Develop efficient production flow processes to improve delivery reliability.
• Identify waste and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
• Support HR in union environments and participate in arbitrations as needed.
