Job summary

US Foods in Tampa, FL is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead a safety‑driven, cost‑conscious transportation team. You will oversee drivers and Transportation associates, coach leadership, ensure DOT compliance, and drive on‑time, accurate outbound shipments to customers and other DCs.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in transportation/delivery or warehousing, 1+ year supervising staff, and strong skills in leadership, DOT knowledge, and data interpretation.

Qualifications

Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods and procedures.
Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
Strong understanding of DOT requirements. Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

Lead with a safety mindset to ensure injury-free operations.
Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through coaching and policy training.
Discuss performance with Sr. Transportation Managers and create improvement plans.
Direct and supervise work of drivers and clerical staff; motivate and retain talent.
Monitor production goals and ensure zero-error accuracy in outbound shipments.
Ensure DOT compliance and safety standards across the team.
