US Foods is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead a safety-focused team responsible for daily outbound shipments to customers and distribution centers. The role emphasizes coaching drivers, enforcing DOT compliance, and driving cost-effective, accurate operations while maintaining high service levels.

The job requires building a culture of safety, managing performance, and coordinating with senior managers to meet department goals, with travel about 10% for meetings and training.

Formación

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Experience as a driver is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Lead with a safety mindset to ensure injury-free operations for associates, customers, and the public.
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through coaching and training.
• Discuss performance with Sr. Transportation Managers and create improvement plans.
• Direct and supervise work and productivity of drivers and clerical staff.
• Schedule shifts and ensure DOT compliance; monitor production and accuracy.
