US Foods is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead a safety‑first, cost‑conscious transportation culture. You will manage drivers and Transportation staff, drive on‑time outbound shipments, and ensure regulatory compliance across DOT and safety requirements.

You will coach and develop drivers, monitor performance, plan shifts, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable service, optimize costs, and uphold US Foods values in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Experience as a driver a plus.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Familiarity with DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to ensure injury-free operations for associates, customers, and the public.
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through coaching and training.
• Discuss performance with Sr. Transportation Managers and create improvement plans.
• Direct and supervise the work and productivity of drivers and clerical staff.
• Schedule shifts using planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and manage workflows.
• Monitor production goals and ensure zero-defect delivery accuracy.
• Investigate accidents and implement preventative actions.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to DOT regulations.
