Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Sr. Manager, Transportation to lead a team of 20+ unionized CDL-A drivers, drive safety, service and cost targets, and partner with dispatchers, routers and managers to ensure timely outbound shipments.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years leading a transportation/delivery team.
Experience managing unionized drivers.
Ability to interpret DOT regulations and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Achieve safety, service, and cost targets in the Transportation department.
Lead Transportation Managers through coaching, policy training, and problem resolution.
Develop drivers and transportation personnel, monitor performance, and address gaps.
Ensure on-time, accurate deliveries and compliance with DOT/state/federal requirements.
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs while maintaining service.
