Job summary

ShipBob is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our fast-paced finance team in Chicago. You will forecast transportation costs, analyze variances, and prepare board-ready materials, partnering with Transportation and FP&A to drive profitability.

This hybrid role reports to the FP&A Manager and requires 3-5 years FP&A, strong modeling, and proficiency in Excel, Power BI, NetSuite. We offer comprehensive benefits and a chance to influence company strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related field.
• 3PL or relevant experience in Transportation.
• 3-5 years of FP&A or related experience.
• Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze transportation initiatives monthly and report drivers to senior management.
• Collaborate with partners to report weekly performance, focusing on Transportation costs and margins.
• Build bottoms-up forecasts with Transportation team and identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop models and processes for new strategic transportation initiatives.
• Prepare annual operating plan with Transportation team and translate into budget.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly investor and board presentations with key metrics and budget variances.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation in reporting tools and files.
• Engage with management to improve strategic planning and execution.
