ShipBob is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our fast-paced finance team in Chicago. This role supports transportation initiatives, builds forecasts, analyzes variances, and prepares board and investor materials to drive profitable growth.

You will partner with the Transportation and FP&A teams to improve margin analysis and develop robust models. The successful candidate will own monthly analyses, provide forward-looking guidance, and help implement new transportation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in FP&A or related field.
• Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite, Smartview, SQL, PowerBI, and Power Query is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Complete thorough analysis on transportation initiatives each month and communicate key performance drivers and variances to plan to senior management.
• Collaborate with partners to strategize and report on weekly performance related to Transportation; provide a timely outlook on shifts in ship costs and margin.
• Manage relationships with Transportation team to build bottoms-up forecasts and identify risks and opportunities.
• Support the development and implementation of models and processes for new strategic transportation initiatives.
• Prepare the annual operating plan by engaging with the Transportation team to build plans and targets and translate this into the budget.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting presentations for investors and the board highlighting key metrics and variances to budget.
• Provide insights on operational metrics, develop margin analyses, and communicate findings to business partners.
• Develop and improve models and procedures using professional knowledge and company objectives.
• Continuously improve and automate existing files and processes; find feasible workarounds as needed.
• Work with management to drive improvements in strategic approaches and investments.
