City of Durham is seeking a Project Manager in the Transportation Planning & Project Development division to lead multi-modal infrastructure improvements, with emphasis on Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). You will coordinate with GoTriangle, NCDOT, Durham County, and other city departments through the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include scope development, contracts, schedules and budgets, technical analyses, stakeholder outreach, and quality control.

Qualifikationen

• Five years of related engineering and/or project management experience.
• NC EIT registration may be required.
• North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred.
• North Carolina Class C Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.

Aufgaben

• Lead project management duties including scope development, contracts, schedules, and budgets; prepare City Council items and permits; coordinate meetings and contractor selection.
• Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, contracts, and correspondence; maintain records and databases; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Provide engineering design support for planning, design, operation, and construction of transportation facilities and systems; conduct studies and analyses.
• Coordinate with GoTriangle, regulatory agencies, and the public; perform outreach and respond to inquiries; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage special projects and supervise staff or consultants; develop operational policies and procedures.
• Serve as Project Manager for consultant engineering design services and participate in strategic planning and quality control.

Kenntnisse

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction project management, or a directly related field

North Carolina EIT Registration (may be required)

Registration as North Carolina PE preferred
