Job summary

GRTC Transit System in Richmond, VA seeks a Transit Infrastructure Manager to oversee capital improvement projects from concept through asset implementation. The role focuses on bus stop enhancements, BRT stations, and related passenger amenities, ensuring timely, on‑budget delivery.

The incumbent will coordinate with multiple departments, manage procurement and contracting, and ensure compliance with NEPA and other regulations to improve safety and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• PMP certification preferred to manage complex projects.
• Experience with transportation or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Strong communication and analytic abilities for cross‑functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans including scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, and resource needs.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, expenditures, and forecasts throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet performance standards.
• Coordinate with internal departments, jurisdictions, consultants, and funding partners.
• Prepare funding requests and provide accurate reporting to partners.
• Review construction documents and maintain project tracking systems.
